In this practical course we will be exploring calcareous and marshy grassland, blanket bogs, fen and swamp habitats. In each one of these different habitats we will be practising how to identify the grasses, sedges and rushes that dominate these areas and will help you to make ecological assessments, especially for Phase 1 Habitat Surveys.
If you have a group of colleagues that want to take the courses we can arrange a time table that will meet the social distancing requirements and at the same time be able to cover the course content. Please call me to discuss.

Following government guidance, the courses will be delivered completely outdoors, no classroom time, following social distancing rules and we will have groups of up to 5 people. We will use online resources as much as possible. Each participant will have its own equipment and resources.
Verde-ecology Consultancy training courses are mainly field-based and hands on because we believe in experiencing nature, so we will try as much as possible to keep that ethos. With this in mind, we can only accept people that are able to travel on the day and do not need to stay overnight.
