We will try to keep running the courses as they appear in the training section but we need to change the way we deliver them in order to follow Government Guidance in the light of the Covid pandemic.
The courses will be deliver using blended learning, a combination of webinars, online resources, homework and 1 to 1 fieldwork.
Verde-ecology Consultancy training courses are mainly field-based and hands on because we believe in experiencing nature, so we will try as much as possible to keep that ethos. With this in mind we can only accept people that are able to travel on the day and don’t need to stay overnight.
If you have a group of colleagues that want to take the courses we can arrange a time table that will meet the social distancing requirements and at the same time be able to cover the course content. Please call me to discuss.
We will be we will be looking at how to identify the plant species found in calcareous grasslands. During the second day we will be looking at how certain species grow in particular habitats, and how to use them as ecological indicators, especially in the context of the National Vegetation Classification systems used in the UK to describe plant communities. This course will explore the techniques and tools and resources available to support your field work.
