Case Study 4: Training for Wildground Project.

Summary: WildGround was a three-year initiative to deliver 18 high quality traineeships in natural heritage grounds maintenance. The project, was delivered by Durham Wildlife Trust. We provided extensive training in Grassland Ecology and Management for the whole 3-year duration of the project.

Delivery: The training was delivered on a non-consecutive weekly basis. Each training had a topic and its own objectives to fulfilled. The first two training days focused on species identification and ecology. The las t two days were focused on monitoring and surveying techniques. A project was requested at the end as means of individual assessment.
