The course is aimed at ecologists that have started to use the Phase 1 Habitat survey as a tool to do ecological assessment and need to gain experience in plant identification of the indicator species used in the methodology.
The course is mainly field based, visiting different habitats in nature reserves managed by DWT and looking at the indicator species. Please note that this course is not to teach participants how to carry out a Phase 1 survey, but this course aims to teach identification skills for the indicators species used in the method.
There is an option to continue the course as a distance learning format.
